Bidrage med feedbackHomemade soup! And great hot sandwiches. Very good. Good service, but you order at the counter. Way overpriced, though. We were surprised how much lunch was; It's what we normally spend for dinner.
Thankfully this little coffee shop was open after 6:00 on Saturday. Almost everything is closed after 5:00. My train back to New Orleans was 4 hours late we were facing sitting in the dark at the train station. The staff was very warm friendly prepared a delicious frozen mocha for me that helped me get through the night. Lee?s provided a nice respite for some verydisappointed travelers. Our disappointment was not in Laurel, but in Amtrak. We were 3 hours late arriving 4 hours lateleaving. And Laurel closes early!, even on Saturday.
The omelet comes with a choice of 1 meat and 1 cheese as well as your choice of veggies. I ordered turkey, pepper jack and ALL the veggies (minus avocado, which cost extra) and LOVED it! The meat was warm, the cheese melted and all the veggies were addedjust before serving, so they were fresh. I've never eaten an omelet prepared like that, but I thought it was delicious and maystart making mine at home in a similar fashion.
Great, quirky place for a morning coffee. Although I didn?t get anything to eat, what they are making smells fabulous.
Tried to get a cold brew this morning but was already sold out so had to get an iced americano. The soup menu was a bit confusing but got the chicken rice which was quite tasty just wished there was more broth. There was no ?sweet? sweet tea justunsweetened available which was still quite refreshing. The front counter service was great with the exception of the server whodecided to pour some of my soup onto the table and walk away leaving me to clean up the mess. Even the other patrons sitting atthe next table was shocked and said did he really just do that? No sorry no nothing and didn?t even clean up the mess??
