Bidrage med feedbackWe had to go for breakfast in this restaurant while we waited for our car to be repaired. We received the menu on whose front a message was recorded, prices are not valid. Ask a waitress at valid prices This is unambiguously against consumer rights, and under various circumstances would e have left. But I didn't want a young child outside waiting for more than an hour at negative temperature. So we stayed. The waitress had no idea what the actual prices are. She told me two or three more dollars. She was unable to answer the questions about the choice of meal we have made. The waiting period was extremely long, even taking into account the possible lack of employees. So the experience was below average
We were shown to a table that had not blurred its floor in quite some time (there were napkins, food bits, etc.), the coffee cup waited for me was dirty (changed), and the veggy omellete had no taste at all. The staff was... very nice.
We stayed at a Thursday morning in the area and decided to go to Eggsquis for a late breakfast / early lunch. We sat immediately upon admission; we were offered coffee immediately. The waitress poured hot tasty coffee into our cups of a thermos... and then left it at our table to serve for themselves. The order lasted longer than other breakfast places, but I must admit that it was worth waiting. My club sandwich was made with grilled chicken breast and came with a generous amount of potatoes and a salad. It was absolutely delicious, but it was impossible to finish my plate, as the size of the plate was more than generous. My husband had the brunch special, consisting of eggs, crepe, French toast, potatoes, 3 meats, fruit slices and potatoes, and he also had a difficult time to finish his plate. Usually he finishes his meal and then I pick up food that I did not eat on my plate (usually potatoes), but this time he happened. The prices are very reasonable all the delicious food for an average of $13 per dish, plus unlimited coffee? That's impressive! The decor is a tad dated; Restaurant needs some spruce up. The service is decent.
I went to Eggsquis after leaving my father at his doctor's appointment. When I sat by the hostess and noticed that people who arrived after me were offered coffee before me, I let one of the waiters know I was in a...bit hurry. I have not shown an attitude and smiling and respectfully asked to accept my order. What followed sincerely surprised me. The two waitresses who were on the ground began looking for my waitress and when they found her, my waitress did not seem impressed. She had a very angry look at her face. She went to my table without seeing me in the eyes or even smiling. She threw the utensils before me, filled my cup with coffee without even asking me if I wanted coffee (I wanted tea) then asked "what do you want in your order". I answered with a “Hi, how are you?” and smiled at them. She reacted with “what you want in your order” without lifting her eyes from her little booklet. At what point I stood up and said: “Never, I am done here.” She asked why and I told her that it is not acceptable to scatter utensils before me and not even to react to my hi. The thing is, the staff is never really pleasant to treat here. This time, I just had enough. I went to Chez Cora and wanted to go there from now on. The staff is pleasant and the food is decent and it is only a minute away from the eggs.
This little place in lasalle is a great place for your morning fill of breakfast. Don't be fooled by its location at the end of a mall , amble parking . The service is great, as you will notice by how busy it is ,...I ordered Eggs Benny , with choice of muffin or French toast as the base , I liked the French toast the best , and its real holl sauce on the eggs. A coffee pot is left on each table , but the price is what's so good , for the eggs Benedictine coffee included), was only 11.95 plus tax... well worth the money ... go there when your in Montreal , you will be pleased .
