Sea: The Thai Experience At Bally's

I've visited the original Sea in Brooklyn, NY so while in Vegas I had to stop in to check out the new location inside Ballys. We purchased a Groupon for 2 apps and 2 entrees and it was well worth it. We had coconut shrimp and the chicken/shrimp fried dumplings for apps. Both were very tasty though the coconut shrimp had a little too much breading and was fried a little too hard. But enjoyable nonetheless. My husband's sizzling mixed seafood combo was very good although couldve used a sauce to compliment the dish. My short ribs and mixed greens salad was great! I received 4 huge pieces of ribs and a nice sauce to dip on the side. They were seasoned really well and very juicy. I would highly recommend

NoT going to lie, this place is expensive for Thai food. I've been to plenty and good and affordable places to compare to. But it was good. I never knew that they even had a Thai restaurant inside the Bally's hotel. Just happened to find it on yelp. First off, it's not a super big place. It's big enough. A nice and modern feel. When we walked in, there's was only a few couples inside. They told us to have a seat anywhere we wanted. Sat ourselves right in the middle of the restaurant. There was a pond/water feature in the middle with seating around it. Tables with communal seating with no backs. It was a pretty cool vibe. The menu had a good selection of dishes. Like I mentioned, it was pricey for Thai food. Some dishes were extortionists. You could get the same dishes in LA for 14,15.00 and theirs was 49.00. I mean, it better be good. They did have some items that I've never seen on a Thai menus. But I was taken back, 29.00 for seafood soup. They're not amy 14,15.00 everywhere else. I guess you pay for the location. Service is good, food was good. Pricey for Thai. Also, gratuity was already added to a bill for 3. Heads up Incase you don't check it in the bill.

This is a decent little Thai place located in Bally 's Hotel/Casino. It 's not the cheapest meal you 'll find in Vegas, but it 's competitively priced at least. I 'd say the menu is 40% seafood, 40% landfood , and 20% noodle bowls or soups. So there 's a decent variety for everyone. I had the Pad Thai with tofu $23). I ordered spice level 4 out of 5 and it wasn 't very spicy. It has the usual ingredients, rice noodles, bean sprouts, peanuts, peanut sauce, etc. that you would expect to find in a traditional pad thai dish. The tofu was cooked to a slightly nice crisp, so it wasn 't soft and mushy and they included plenty of it. The Holy Basil Seafood Combo $28) was a very decent serving size. It included steamed tilapia, shrimp, scallops, squid, and plenty of mussels, drizzled in a spicy basil sauce. Rice is not included with either of these dishes a small order of jasmine rice is $3. Bottled domestic beer $7, bottled import or craft beer is $8. All in all, it was a very nice dining experience. Courteous staff, not too loud, and not very crowded. One final note if you have your credit card tied to your Yelp account, they offer 3% cash back to your card. But Yelp changed the rules somewhere along the line and you now have to click activate on the business page before swiping your card. So obviously, I didn 't get the discount. It used to be automatic all you would have to do is use your connected card. ProTip if you find one of the several ticket sales joints in Vegas called Tix4Tonight, buy their yellow discount card. It 's $3 for the one that covers discounts on the buffets, but I got one that just covered discounts on restaurants and it was free. I was able to use it here to get 20% off the total bill.

As a local to Las Vegas... unfortunately wouldn't recommend. Two stars for the stuff- they were attentive. Star removed for the food. My Tom Yum wasn't good. Thai tea my coworker had wasn't that good either. So it wasn't very hard dishes to make. And another huge star to be removed for the price. $29 for the soup that would usually cost $8?! I know it's on the strip... and I would even understand $18-19. But $30 in average?! Too much.

Came here for lunch a week ago. They had just opened. It was beautifully decorated in an Asian style. As we walked in, there was no one in the front. But quickly, we were greeted by a sweet young lady with a pleasant smile. She sat us near the beautiful statue at the middle water feature. The bench seats don't look like benches. It's a great design and very comfortable. There's a certain feeling of tranquility initially. Then when they turned on music (not loud which is great), it doesn't match the decor. I was hoping for some Thai music in the background but it was soft rock. We ordered... Thai iced tea Crab meat fried rice Island red curry (vegetables) Although we didn't order much, the portions were big and we didn't finish our lunch. Everything was fresh and delicious! That delicious smell of the food was intoxicating. Although we were full in the end, we kept reaching into the plates for another little bite. Yeah, that good!!! The crab fried rice was incredible. The fried rice portion was on the bottom and the lump crab mix with the rice was placed on top of the rice. I liked that so we don't miss the crab. The crab was very fresh and delicious. Our server Ray Jai and the young man that brought our food were both very attentive, pleasant and professional. We'll definitely be back to try other curries but will definitely order the crab fried rice again!
