Stewart's Shops - LAKE PLACID

As a woman I am not comfortable coming to this Stewart's because every morning there are several older men sitting inside drinking coffee, staring and watching like hawks, literally every woman that walks in. Probably why not many women go to this Stewart's.

Everyone from Lake Placid is very pleasant, and good at their job. Collin is a cool guy, heck he even knows my favorite ice cream, when I make a sundae! Stewart's is the bread and butter of New York State, and we love Stewart's!

Some of the rudest staff I 've ever encountered. Stewarts are usually top notch in every aspect (except maybe their parking lots but these employees are just down right rude and snobby even when people are being kind and trying to break the ice. I watched it play out with the numerous people in front of me in line so I know it wasn 't just a me issue

Can understand their ID policy however I do not drink and after they wouldn’t sell beer to my friend because I (who doesn’t drink) didn’t have ID because well I wasnt buying anything with him but entirely separately my own items. YET THEY SOLD ALCOHOL to a VISIBLY DRUNK man which is illegal yet wouldn’t to my friend who is not white. This is very weird and they seem to tailor the law to themselves as they see fit.

Very nice little store with good ice cream!
