We love taking the kids here, the owner is very personable speaks to you every time you come in, the staff is always great, you never have to wait. Kid-friendliness: If you ever take your kids just ask for coloring books and crayons, they always have a stack of them.

Came across Sammy's while house hunting in the area. Amazing NY Pizza. Great crunch and delicious sauce. Canoli was amazing. Loved the welcoming atmosphere and family spirit. My kind of people!!! Must stop if your any where close!

Just not impressed with Sammys. We used to love this place and the pizza. Overall it has become something unappealing and distasteful. Pizza does not inspire, at all. Garlic rolls have an underlying bad taste. The fried mushrooms are a catastrophe, could not even choke one down. What the heck has happened here. Will say though, the marinara side was darn good. I think different than it used to be no fennel and less salt? and more garlic. I don't know why this flavor doesn't come through in the pizza. Anyway, it is heartbreaking we do not have decent pizza in Lake Placid.
