Tasty - Lake Oswego

I am not quite sure why the reviews are lower for this place. It is solidly tasty food well executed and pleasant. And it is always hard to get in. I do think compared to some of the other Tasty restaurants in particular Tasty Alder (which I miss greatly! this place does not quite rise to that level of excellence but that 's a pretty high bar. I 've had literally some of the best food I 've ever tasted at Tasty Alder over the years. None of the dishes I had here were the best c I 've ever tasted but they were all still pretty darn good. Asparagus was the best, followed by the steak. Pasta was decent, but would try something else next time. Hubby loved the hush puppies I thought they were good too, and def well executed, but just not a big hush puppie fan personally. Bread course was very nice as well. Maybe people have just really high expectations of this place, but if you compare it to some other run of the mill restaurant, I 'd still consider this one of the best restaurants in this area of town. Will def be back again whenever I can get a resy at a decent hour!

The food was good, probably not as good as its other restaurants (tasty n alder or tasty n sons) but definitely solid. We come here often since we live nearby. Had a very rude server lady today. She 's skinny, brunette, tattoos on her left arm (leaves or vines), and wears glasses on her head ... she 's just flat out rude. Her attitude rubs me the wrong way. She 's snippy and robotic with no personality. Probably should go work at a cheap diner since that fits her personality better. She first came over to our table and started mouthing off about how this is a family style set up and food just comes out as it 's ready, shareable plates, blah, blah, I said to her that we have been here many times so we are aware. She snaps back at me just because you 've been here, I STILL HAVE TO SAY IT!!! What the heck????? I 'm helping her with her job and she snaps at me?? Then she proceeds with since you 've been here before do you want me to tell you about the kids menu??? She should be fired. Labor shortage doesn 't mean rude servers should exist! Find another job that makes you happy!! As mentioned, we 've been here many times and the service and servers have always been decent and respectful until today. I hope today was an anomaly because I don 't want to go back to the same environment ever again. We pay too much money for this to happen. When I write a review; I always hope someone in management or owners checks it out to understand areas for improvement.

The service provided by Mel and Michael was fantastic. They really made our dinner. It's so rare when my autistic son wants to go out to eat. All the food was great just slightly pricey for the amount of food you get. Location location. But it was a great experience and we would go back.

GINGER CARROT BREAD Incredible. Perfect amount of spice. Reminiscent of fall but not overpowering at all. It's (get ready for it) M O I S T but the outside is crunchy. It's thick but it isn't dense. The nuts in it have such good texture along with the moist breading. AND the outside crust has just a TOUCH of salt as well. Probz helps with the crunch. Plus it's a great portion. Perfect for 2. The cream cheese pastry cream isn't super sour and tastes like a perfectly thicker style butter. It has a last final note of sweetness that lingers but not overly sweet. Honestly, everything worked so well together there wasn't a star of the dish. Literally a must try. TASTY STEAK AND CHEDDAR EGGS Steak was good. Not tough at all and you could cut it with the butter knife. Well seasoned. Eggs were fluffy and served hot Corn cake was to me, reminescent of the garlic bread that came in the foil bags but a sweet version? It was interesting.... My husband did NOT like it at all. TASTY BURGER Really good! The fry sauce was also really good unique. Super dilly and savory. Unlike any fry sauce I've had. Burger was really moist and juicy and well seasoned with a great bun. I had a few qualms, the fries were to be desired and not very many for the price... And it said it was a smash burger, but these Pattie's were thicccc? Not complaining, just not what I was expecting. Wanna Try Next Time -A cocktail. They sounded super interesting and good here! -Poutine -the curry cauliflower smelled sooo good -the French toast. It comes with delish chantilly cream

The croque madame here holds more power than the One Ring. Each member of our party tried the dish, and I fear what I may have seen had I had the power to visualize the thoughts in peoples’ minds….We would have killed each other for that croque madame. And I would not have been the last man standing.There were smiles all around.I barely escaped this restaurant with my life.Five stars.
