Bidrage med feedbackI ordered the tomato chocolate soup, with it no bread was served. No bread was also brought to the table as an appetizer, for a restaurant that is high-level, it was disappointing. The server was very polite.
It's #ThrowbackThursday and today I wanted to share one of my favorite afternoon tea experiences. When my family and I visited Lake Louise in summer last year, we visited Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise for afternoon tea. That was on my Canadian foodie bucket list, so I was really happy to experience it.
Although the restaurant does not take reservations, we called out the room and asked for a table. Robyne was extremely helpful and told us that she would give up a table with a lake view. The view of the lake as you eat when you get a side table is to die! So was extremely comfortable when we sat down with a magnificent view of the lake. The dish that was really good was the Prime Rib Sandwich. Canadian Flatbread is one of her signature dishes, but we didn't order it. Butter Chicken was decent because you did not expect authentic Indian food, but was very edible. It came with rice and Indian bread - Nan. We also ordered in the children's menu; The chicken wings were baked and very avoidable. Grilled chicken and cheese quesadila was fine. Full brands for the service, as we returned the lemon rasberry cheesecake, as it found too sweet and creamy when making sense. They didn't charge us for it. All in all, definitely go for a meal, as perhaps the posters outweigh the negative, but stick to the few things well on the menu.
We love eating here when we're in Lake Louise! It took us forever to discover that we thought it would be very expensive, but in fact it is quite reasonable if you take into account the incredible outlook! Many dinner dishes are $18 $25.
Love the service and food. We got the set menu with the wine pairing. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and the pairings were perfect. I had the parsnip soup and my partner had the pate flr an appetizer. The soup was incredibly refreshing for a root vegetable puree. The pate was light and flavorful. We both had the braised lamb shank which was cooked perfectly. We did not need a knife at all. For dessert, my partner had the fudge cake with sour cherry and I had the creme brulee with an amazing rosemary chambord sorbet. The sorbet blew me away! The prices were on the high side but we totally got what we paid for and I will be back in the future.
