The Hayes - Lake Hayes Estate

Went down south twice this year and visited both times. This is local Lake Hayes pub and restaurant and they've got arguebly one of the best gravy sauce I ever had. The Thursday cheap steak was classic and faultless. Best of all their service were top notch. Would definitely visit this place everytime when I visit Qtown Lake Hayes.

We visited The Hayes several times when staying nearby, and loved it! Staff are welcoming, very friendly and efficient. Great selection of wine and beer, and the food that we tried was delicious! My partner loved his lamb shanks and mash and the salmon croquettes were fabulous! On a Friday night it was bustling and busy, but service and food remained fantastic. Definitely recommend this great little local spot if you’re around Lake Hayes estate We will return in the future.

We stopped here for a couple of quick espressos and an app tried the salmon croquettes, which were delicious and came with a yummy lemony herb sauce. The staff was friendly and quick to help. A great spot for a quick snack or meal, and they have ample patio seating! Update returned here for breakfast as it was close to our stay and they have generously sized breakfast options. Service was quick and friendly!

Very nice neighbourhood cafe bistro that serves cafe food and drinks like Frozen Magarita which was served half the glass, smaller portions than most places. Fish Chips was yummy along with the Salt Pepper Squid Rings. Parking can be crowded on weekends though.

Yummy food and amazing service. We went a bit later at like 8ish pm and the staff were very kind and understanding.
