Submarina California Subs La Mesa

I love this place. They have squaw bread. Which is a game changer. They also ask you what cheese you 'd like but like in a this is the suggested cheese for this sandwich kind of way. They be like ok is swiss ok? And you can be like no or just go with it. Which I appreciate. Because I never know what cheese goes on a tuna or club. The door to get in also has a foot door knob.

Staff are always welcoming friendly. Place is always clean! I always order the veggie sandwich on jalapeño cheese roll-so good!

Everything about this place is top-notch! They slice your meats on the spot, and your meal is larger than most. The price seems higher in comparison to Subway but not to others like Jersey Mike's. You get what you pay for. I will eat here before I would eat at any other sandwich place!

How can you not love Submarina? This one has the best service, friendliest staff, and they are pros at getting the line moving. Yes, Submarina is a chain, but the staff here (many who have been here for years) make it feel like a small town deli.
