Bidrage med feedbackWe ate crispy duck and this was a strange one. We have the feeling that the duck was ready made and trown into a fryer. A thick layer of deep frie and a duck that never have been a duck. A disaster of a dish. The room itself hold no more than 15-17 celcius degree, so freezing cold. And one of the child got sick the day after with high fewer. Im sorry, but this was the last time we visit the place
Ordered take-away from this restaurant, and one of the things ordered was the crispy duck from the take-away menu. I wanted those thin pancakes with that duck, and asked if they had it. Yes was the short answer. When I pick up my order, the price is twice the amount on the menu. And when I ask why, they say that pancakes only come with the dish-for-two option. Which by the way is not mentioned in the menu. Communication people! I didn't want duck for two people. It's a simple thing to mention when I ordered over the phone.
I have been to this restaurant several times. The food here is very good. For instance the Chrispy Duck is very good. There is also a possibility for take away which i have never tried.
We went to the China House for a birthday treat with my mother in law as we have had takeaway from them for some years now. The food is quite good for chinese food in Norway where they seem to do things rather strange and is very well presented, but this timethe food was not as good as it has been in the past. We had the crispy duck which was very fatty, the chicken gong po which was rather bland and the dry cooked beef which was exelent. The atmosphere is always a pleasure but i do miss things like egg fried rice and chinese vegtables in the dishes. It is rather expensive to eat there, even by Norwegian standards but it is usually worth it for the experiance.
I ate here with a group of 20 and we all felt it was over priced for the quality of food. Standard main meal price: 260, NOK
