Bidrage med feedbackRich and dense mutton curry served with fresh n small porottas. A little expensive, but the recipe is their crowd puller. The serving of the curry is in a tiny ramekin just enough to hold an icecream scoop, and it is charged at ₹160. It seems expensive, but the dish had really good and eatable slices of the meat rather than bony and fatty areas. The porottas were charged at ₹10 which seemed again too much for the miniature size. The restaurant is an oversized single hall which can seat about 150 people. And the ambience is passable. But they've been rocking the streets with their unique recipe for ages. Not mindblowing, but a good experience at Fayalwan restaurant in Kollam city.
It's a good hotel with good food and great service. We've reached the hotel at 3 pm and couldn't get to eat the biriyani and meals. Rather we got to eat porotta, mutton curry, mutton fry and chicken fry. The food is pricy and quantity is less other than that it's good.
This was my first choice when i planned a trip to Kollam. Loved their mutton biriyani and Mutton curry. Amazing taste. Here the Kerala style biriyani has the raisins added to the masala and it is of good taste. Mutton was amazing. Repeated the order and enjoyed the food. And took take away as well. Tried their parotta as well. Nice ambience. Parking available. Don't miss this restaurant if u r in kollam.
Food is really tasty We visited at the peak hours. Car parking is really difficult here. The atmosphere inside is not up to the mark. We couldn't enjoy the food because of the rush and felt too much hot inside. It's better to buy parcel from here and enjoy the taste at home.
It was a place where I had heard of mutton biryani special, so I was expecting a lot. I don't know if it was due to high expectations, the biryani seemed average. Service and ambiance are all good.
