Bidrage med feedbackA bit overrated and small restaurant/dhaba. Middle eastern platter was good, but other things can be avoided. Fried rice had to be ordered again because despite instructing not to make it spicy, they put chillies. There is no parking. You may have to park 1 km away in a narrow 2 way street turned one way due to road side parked vehicles
Pros : 1. Nice ambience 2. Polite staff 3. Location is top notch Cons : 1. Food took too long to be served 2. French fries were very dry, so was the bread of cheese chicken sandwich. Chicken was very fibrous, not soft at all. Over all food quality was average.
Visited this place with friends and had a good time having the food here. The place was crowded when we Visited as i guess it might be the season for vacation there. Got the table after half an hour. The weather here is awesome which is a plus point. Not many popular food joints around here though so you'll have to Visit this place at least once. The food taste was good and i would say a good experience overall. You'll get good options to eat if you're vegetarian too. There is no proper parking space so don't get your cars here if possible. Have a walk as you won't feel tired due to stunning weather. Have a visit and let us know how you feel.
So, recently we went to Altaf's Cafe during our 2 day trip to Kodaikanal. And this place is A W E S O M E!!! No, I'm not exaggerating at all! The vibe, the ambience, the food the staff behaviour everything was bang on perfect! I visited this eatery with my hubby and my kid. And we loved this place so much on our first visit, that we drove to this place again the next day, from the Kodai Lake area! Not to visit any other places or any tourist spots, but just to be there and have a sumptuous meal. What We Had There: Mashed Potato with Cheese Onion Mashed Potato Filter Coffee Hot Chocolate Ginger Honey Tea Sweet Sour Lemon Juice Mango Shake Chicken Schintzel Plate Falafel Ball Veg Sandwich Chicken Sandwich Veg Fried Rice Food Taste Quality: 10 out of 10 (Especially the Pita bread, the lemon juice, the sandwiches, teh falafel ball, and the coffee) The USP of this place is definitely the Staff Behavior and the songs they played that perfectly complimented the cloudy skies and valleys. The view this place offers is breathtaking and mind blowing. Trust me, this place offers better views than many other tourist spots in Kodaikanal. The pocket pinch is worth the taste, ambience and food quality and quantity. Thumbs up from a Bong traveller from Kolkata! The kittens and their Mommies add further to the charm of the place. If you have ever been to Kodaikanal or the Vattakanal side, having a mouthwatering and finger licking meal at Altaf's cafe is a must! (All pics attached are unfiltered)
I recently visited Altaf’s Cafe in Kodaikanal and I was blown away by the delicious food and great service. I tried their Israeli breakfast, pancakes, Indian breakfast, and chicky cheese sandwich. The hummus sandwich was close to perfect and the pita bread was awesome. The chicken sandwich was also amazing. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a great meal in Kodaikanal
