Bidrage med feedbackThat was the most incredible and tasty food I've ever eaten! it is an intimate ten sit teppenyaki, and the man who served us was very accommodating. Despite our total lack of ability to understand or speak Japanese, he went through the menu what is kobe rind meat, and facilitated a conversation between us and the chef. while learning it was our first cobe-rib experience, they even directed us to some meat cuts they thought were better bang for the buck. it was literally the opposite of the sale we are used to! every single thing they put on our tellers was incredible. even the spiced (roasted garlic chips, mixes and washabi all local in the region) were unbelievably on themselves, and they led us to taste the best combinations of each with our bark. the a5 cobe bark is different. if you are looking for such a device, then you know it! the picturesque atmosphere, the friendly service and the unique presentation will provide the entire experience at the top of our list for our time in japan.
This place was excellent from start to finish. An absolutely perfect experience. The meat melted in my mouth and the chef Tosio was delightful to watch. He carefully and patiently taught us how to best eat the meat which I really enjoyed. 5/5 would eat again!
Something else! First we were a bit surprised because it was empty when we arrived, but i guess that‘s because of the price. But: I have to say it was truly one of THE best meals i had in japan, and that means something. Also, excellent service, very friendly and they really take care of you all the time and bring you small treats(take the course with starters, soup and dessert). The chef is nice and of course cooks the exquisite kobe beef right in front of you. He also gave us tips how to eat the meat, like what combinations he thinks are the best( you can dip it in various stuff like miso/wasabi/soy sauce/garlic). Really great experience, highly recommended If i ever go back to kobe, i will definitely go there again
It had the best beef i've ever had and far superior to any of the surrounding cheaper restaurants. The waiter was friendly and gave great advice on what cuts of steak we should try and really great information on what to expect. The chef was warm, friendly and spoke good english. He explained how it was best eaten and how to enjoy the Kobe beef with each condiment. We even got photos with the chef and waiter outside! I can't highly recommend the place enough and it was the highlight of our trip to Kobe.
We had a wonderful dining experience in an intimate cozy space. I went into the restaurant not expecting to eat much as I was having a massive headache and nausea (we were thinking if we should skip it but decided to go so that at least my husband could enjoy it). I ended up finishing everything that was served and even ate half of a separate dish my husband ordered for himself. I loved that the beef was incorporated into each course in their unique ways, culminating to the star dish which was the teppanyaki. The marbling on the beef for our main course was beautiful and fresh. Our chef was very friendly and showed us which condiments to pair the beef with, as well as what level of doneness was suitable for specific parts of the beef. We are grateful for the experience and will definitely be recommending Genchiki to our family and friends!
