The Pines Inn - Killarney

Was the only option in the city especially in winter, so it was the only place we could go quite a lot. the staff are beautiful and courteous, view of the restaurant with view of the pier and channel are beautiful, eating is quite average. I wanted to highlight a few things. a bark steak (wellington) ordered during the New Year's Eve, but was never asked how to do my steak and it turned out to be quite dry. I always want my steaks to be rare, but this one looked good. the flesh was soft, but not juicy. I ordered a $55 wine bottle and was served the same bottle, but finally the bill showed that I had $80 instead of another bottle I had not even ordered. although the manager gave us 2 additional glasses wein free, but we were extremely full until then and could not do much justice. in general in restaurants in kanada, if they do not want the exact wine bottle one customer, they serve them another bottle, but keep the original desired price equal. this was not the case here, however, and that was a bit annoying. would be great if such errors were avoided during billing and there was a certain resistance. I don't want a complementary drink/coffee, but I prefer to pay and serve for everything I have ordered. Thank you.

The food and the service were both 4 stars. my entree white fish was very delicious. boiled (drilled) to perfection and was very moist and delicate; the fish was served with reispilaf, and fresh sweet carrots which were both cooked and lightly elden as I like my sweet. my appetizer was the crab dive with pita brot, that was 'so 'and maybe a little overpriced at $14. my partner had the chicken soup for an appetizer he said was very good. the prices are moderate and fair for what they get. the waiting staff was attentive, very dedicated and professional.

The service was great, but the food was outstanding. My New York strip was cooked perfectly rare, with a wonderful sear. The ambiance allowed for quiet conversation and a pleasant dining experience with my dinner companions.

I was extremely impressed by this restaurant. The food and service were outstanding! We began with the chopped salad with jalapeño dressing, which was absolutely delicious. The salad had a variety of textures and aromas, and was beautifully presented. The steak was the best I have ever had! Both the presentation and taste were exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We had a very enjoyable meal at this restaurant! It was a Tuesday night in late August and we were one of the few tables dining. The food was excellent and the server did a great job. We enjoyed both dishes and would definitely come back again. It was lovely to look out at the boats at the docks.
