Bidrage med feedback*Review was a 4 star until recently as food quality/portions seem to have declined a bit* I love this location however, feel the quality of food and portion sizes could improve dramatically. The size of the tacos are very, very small as it relates to actual contents of what 's filling them up. Fortunately the time we went when these photos were taken, they were a little more full than normal but most times the tacos will not be big and full tacos. The sampler is always a staple, and I like to add the habanero purée to the red salsa (and on top of my tacos. We really enjoy sitting outside at this location if weather permits. Great to enjoy the weather or people watch! As for service nothing to complain about or write home about. Consistently good service, with no bad experiences thus far. Recommend this establishment if you are looking for a quick, casual spot to try on Kiawah!
We 've been coming to Kiawah Island for more than 35 years. When Freshfield 's Village opened a few years ago, we were excited when new restaurants came on to the scene. They 've all been hit or miss. We decided to give Cantina 76 a try as we were in the mood for Mexican food. Complimentary chips and salsa? Nope, diners must buy the salsa for $5 and the Queso was $7 or $8. Wife wanted to order the Chimichanga but didn 't want a couple of ingredients that was in it. Our server said, I 'm sorry, but these are pre-made 'frozen ' We were stunned. Frozen? So, we each ordered 2 tacos and an enchilada. I ordered the buffalo chicken taco and peruvian shrimp taco along with a chicken enchilada. The buffalo chicken taco was 2 spicy chicken nuggets with wing sauce on a soft tortilla with a pinch of lettuce on top. I laughed. Frozen nuggets reheated apparently. As was the enchilada. In fact, all the meat items for the tacos (wife had the chicken taco and traditional beef taco) looked and tasted like reheated from frozen. Total bill for grand total of 4 tacos and 2 enchiladas along with a basket of chips, salsa and queso was $57 including tip. Water was our beverage. It 's a nice place, but the vibe was lacking and the food definitely not up to par. We were here at 6 PM on a Friday night and there were maybe 3-4 other couples here. If you 're staying on either Kiawah or Seabrook, save your money and just go to Harris Teeter and buy frozen entrees and a bag of tortilla chips.
The food is disappointing. I enjoy chips with salsa and drinks here, but there is often a shortage of staff so we've had long wait times for food to come out. Tourist trap for kiawah.
Great place! I wouldn’t recommend bbq taco from the specials, but otherwise delicious tacos and friendly service. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Greated right away by the sweetest woman ever and sat right away at 7:00 on a Saturday night. Our waitress was just as pleasant. The food was absolutely delicious. The steak nachos were probably my favorite nachos I’ve had. They were huge and filled with allllll kinda of yummy ingredients and I didn’t end up with empty chips towards the bottom. Hubs got the quesadilla and loved it. We will be back when visiting Kiawah. Parking: Parking was close by and easy!
