Bidrage med feedbackCame here because of the positive review from the Moon book by Jennifer Walker and Auburn Scallon. The vibe is good. Naschmarkt is great! The food was good but the service….. A totally different story. Red wine order… I wanted a glass of cabernet sauvignon. The waiter cut me off and said bottle or glass… I kept talking. He stopped me again and said a glass or a bottle. At this time, I was like, is this normal in Austria? In USA or other countries, waiters usually wait til the customers finish ordering. He said, just listen to me till I finish…. He again asked a glass or a bottle. In my head, what difference does it make?? i said a glass. He went on to say he only has certain bottles of red wine open… ok… what does that mean? Well, it means he won’t serve me the wine I wanted which is kind of stange… i usually drink 3-4 glasses of wine when i am on a vacay many people think that is a lot but serving 1/8 of a liter is like 1/3 of the red wine glass in USA). So technically its not much wine for an American standard. Lol. Anyway, why would they put wine by the glass on the menu if they are not going to serve it… So to end my story…. I ended up drinking about 5-6 glasses of wine because the weather was great and I got a nice buzz…. I wanted to drink more but my wife wanted to shop…. But my wife who ordered their prawn avocado salad, loved it. The waiter thought I was only going to order a glass… a big mistake. Next time, don’t cut off the customer when ordering his drinks especially his Cabernet Sauvignon!!!! This is very strange in my world and the wine drinkers.
It is located at a busy spot in Naschtmarkt. Service is very fast and kind. Meals were delicious. We had Sabich, Zigarren and Avocado salad. The first two was fantastic, the third was really good. Thank you!
Very tasty Israeli food, we loved the caramelised onion , eggplant and rice dish also the hummus with falafel. Nice selection of wines and juices.
I was there today with a friend and we had a very good lunch. Although the place is located in a market full of life, the atmosphere was pleasant and it looked nice. The service was very good (fast and friendly) and the waiters were all cute. :)The menu offers a variety of dishes with Lebanese specific, but they were creative with some of the dishes. I would recommend the hummus with minced meat (lamb and veal) - which is one of their specials. The price for two persons, sharing different dishes and eating to the fullest, was 44 EUR.
It's in the middle of the Naschmarket, a long, functional market. It feels like it belongs in the pop-up restaurant scene in Brixton, London. Simple and cheap tables and chairs, no thrills, quick (perhaps too quick) and efficient service. It's not particularly cheap, although perhaps that's just Vienna, but the food is oh so delicious. It's more than your average hummus bar. Best selection of hummus I've ever had - classic, beetroot, and (the best) mango curry. Everything was delicious and unusual. Mains stretch beyond the Middle East to Korea and Japan. Bold flavours. Not to everyone's taste. If you are after a fine dining experience, a budget dinner, or a lengthy relaxed meal, then don't come here. If you are into taste sensation, then this place is highly recommended.ps. They only take cash
