Shogun Japanese Steak Sushi - Kennesaw

Had a great time honoring my sister's 61st birthday the show was great our host was great.

Short story: amazing service, amazing food, amazing drinks! If you haven't been to Shogun or are staying nearby, definitely try it out! I came to Kennesaw on business and was staying at the hotel nearby, so I thought to stop by for easy food for takeout. Looking at the entrees alone though, I thought it would be a shame to just have it all boxed, so I came back later to sit down. I am so glad I did that. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and punctual! They made sure I was doing great, one member commented how they were glad to have me back despite me only being there for literally only 2 minutes hours before, all while laughing and greeting their regulars. My server was super attentive, making sure each meal was good and even cleaning my take-home glass! That attention and genuine kindness really makes a restaurant go to the next level in just a few moments. All the food was delicious, particularly the sushi. The portions were generous and served in a manner where to could enjoy it timely (some places just place it all at once in front of you overwhelmingly). The steak was cooked great with plenty of sides, and from my one drink, I can say they make killer ones! I don't leave many reviews, but after traveling, work, and just needing a moment to breathe, I couldn't help but finally post my first one. I can't comment on the Hibachi side, but if anything even similar to my experience, you can't go wrong!

Excellent experience always! I have a severe allergy they always go above and beyond to make my meal away from the foods that would cause me concern. This dinner was for a kiddo's birthday and our Chef was just amazing with her and her friends! Great location (the mall is so dead now it's not nearly as chaotic as it once was) the parking lot is huge and they even give you food to feed the humongous fish when you leave. We've been going here for 10 yrs and it's always a really decent time!

Love this place. All team members are very nice and attentive and the food is great as well. Enjoy a beer while the kids watch the food being prepared with a fun fire show.

Hibachi Chef was good. 6 shrimp and about 4 oz of cut up chicken breast with a good portion of fried rice with teriyaki sauce and some veggies. Teriyaki sauce was good on the shrimp but the thicker sauce on the chicken I didn’t care for (and I Like everything). 3 people in my party. Each had the Teriyaki Shrimp and Chicken (19.99) plus a drink (the Coca Cola was flat and didn’t taste right). Total was $68.74 plus I left a real 20% tip. May have contained MSG. Upset stomach shortly after eating.
