Chan Fortune Restaurant - Kelowna

As a chef with experience in top-tier restaurants, I have high standards when it comes to food. Unfortunately, the food at this restaurant in Honduras was subpar. Even with a party of three, nobody wanted to eat the dishes. The Asian cuisine I tried was so unappetizing that it turned me off Chinese food completely. I took a few bites and had to spit it out, ultimately throwing everything in the garbage. Overall, a terrible dining experience.

The restaurant served traditional North American style Chinese cuisine that was decent. I ordered the combo C which included chicken fried rice, chicken chow mein, and sweet and sour pork. The portion size was large and the dishes were well seasoned without being too oily. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would consider ordering from this restaurant again.

Ordered dinner for 3 with lemon chicken. I wanted to pick up the time. Paid for order then it was said that they were not a lemon chicken. They suggested replacing chicken balls with lemon sauce. He waited 20 minutes before the order was finished. The chicken balls were basically all dough with a tiny piece of chicken in the middle (you could actually try the vegetable oil in it). The rest of the order was just as bad. I'll never order from here again. Terrible lifetime.

What the hell, give them an order to my place. They never communicate properly to confirm something. After the placement we said when it should come, but never. 2 hours wait!!! Now we have hungry children and my family not happy. Not even a call back, so I tried to call her and always get an answer machine. He tried to get someone again and was in the middle of the conversation and was separated. I'll never use those guys again.

We decided to try this restaurant because it changed ownership last year. It has been really consistent and yummy. Spring rolls and wontons are hand-made! My kids love the broccoli beef and the chicken cashew dishes. Loads of vegetables. Easy dinner and we keep going...back!
