Bidrage med feedbackThe pork burrito was delicious, but the cheese sauce from a can on top was a bit too cheesy (pun not intended). Apart from that, the dish was quite enjoyable.
The food at this restaurant is fantastic and reasonably priced. It's within walking distance from downtown hotels, making it convenient for visitors. This is a family-friendly establishment with generous portions for kids. Our waitress, Mona, was exceptionally friendly and wonderful with children.
Great Lunch Los Tules may be my new fave!. My co worker and I just ordered lunch to go today. He is a long time fan, and I am a first timer. I had the lunch Grande Burrito. It was wonderful! Stuffed full of shredded chicken, rice, beans, sour cream and guac, then smothered in verde and topped off with espinaca. This would have been a meal in itself, but then it came with refried beans, more rice and a drink. All for $8.50, although the menu price states $7.50. I ate far to much, because it was sooooo good. There was easily enough for two meals. I think this was a great price for all of this food. One thing I would have changed, was a few chips would have been nice to send along, but wasn't a deal breaker. The other thing that was kind of a bummer, is that the advertised drink with lunch special does not apply to carry out orders. All in all, I will be back.<br/ <br/ Update: Had the same lunch today, was as great as the first time. Glad to know that the food is not at the whim of which chef is working!
All of the cheese dips are tasty, and I suggest requesting the spicy salsa for an extra kick. The regular salsa is a bit bland for my taste, it reminds me more of pasta sauce.
Food truck. I haven't actually ate at the restaurant, but i got to sample so of their fare from their food truck. It was great! lots of avocado, lime, and cilantro which I loved. I mean can you have a proper Mexican dish without those?! One of these days I am actually going to go to the restaurant itself. Good mexican food is almost impossible to find in KC so I'm hopeful.
