Bravo! Cafe - Kalamazoo

Stopping by to say, after two years, we still really miss you all! BraVo! was one of my favorite restaurants of all time. Wonderful atmosphere, outstanding service, and every meal was excellent! Full Disclosure: I was also hoping to find the Angel Hair and Artichoke recipe. Speaking of favorites! :

This is solely based on the Sunday brunch. It wasn't a bad experience, it was just meh. For all the great reviews I expected more. Nothing in particular stood out other than NONE of the food on the buffet was seasoned. No salt, pepper, nothing. Would I go back?......probably but it won't be in my regular brunch rotation. Extremely underwhelming.

I was really looking forward to eating Bravos Valentines Day Take home for two but I can 't say I was very satisfied. I don 't want to sound super picky but I had been looking forward to this for weeks because I 've had bravos food before. It 's typically amazing and upscale which is what I would have imagined this meal to resemble. But the First thing I noticed was a very big box for bread and inside was only THREE pieces of tiny bread. Three small pieces without butter or anything to go with. Originally I didn 't think this was that bad and that maybe it was a cute way to get the couple to spilt a piece of bread. But it 's just weird to me that there was an odd number of pieces of bread and an even amount of guests. Secondly, the salad was awful! No dressing and the olives tasted old and like cardboard . I wished I had just bought a cheap bag of salad from Meijer at this point. The bottle of champagne was literally a mini bottle of champagne and the foil box with our beef Wellington looked liked they had genuinely just threw everything in (there isnt a chance this could just be from the car ride which ended up separating the meat from the pastry. Lastly I just wish everything had been labeled as well I was guessing at what the sauces were. All in all this meal was no way in heck worth $20 let alone the $65 I was charged for this meal At LEAST give a full bottle of champagne so I can drink to forget Bravos mistakes : Probably not returning (well maybe for brunch

Dined here on busy Saturday evening with reservations for 4. Promptly seated at a corner booth. Service very good--timely, knowledgeable, and courteous. Menu contains many Italian style dishes; including small plate appetizers, pastas, and larger entrees. I opted for Eggplant Parmesan small plate and a small Caesar Salad. Both were very good and the salad even had anchovies! Friends had soup and pasta dishes which they raved about. Prices were reasonable, especially for the level of food quality and service. I will return!
