This place offers Impossible meat in a variety of dishes, offers a few vegan items on their menu, and great salads. And, as the title says, offers great interesting vegan tacos and side dishes on the second Tuesday of every month.

600 Kitchen and Bar is a large, open restaurant decorated in a modern design. There are many options on the menu that are vegan and vegetarian. And they are all nicely labeled. The restaurant is sterile. Almost to the point of lacking any character. I had to look up photos of the restaurant to remind myself what it looked like. I ordered the buffalo “chicken” sandwich. It was nice to have vegan options when I visited with my non plant-based family. The sandwich was good, and more satisfying than many other sad meals at non vegan restaurants. Ok people…. This place has been on my radar for quite some time and I finally got to experience it…. I have mixed reviews. I went with my Omni daughter. The ambience was great, clean, airy, spacious and contemporary, 10/10. But the most important thing is the food…. First we ordered a Christmas Sangria…. We both did not like it at all and we are Sangria lovers… 3/10. Second, my daughter ordered the fall harvest salad which is vegetarian because it has blue cheese… she added chicken breast so I didn’t take a picture. But it can be veganized by simply omitting the cheese. Or one could add the vegan chick un breast on top of the salad. She rated it a 10/10 and said it was literally the best salad she has had in her entire life. She was insanely impressed. So I had high hopes for my no harm no fowl vegan fried chicken sandwich….. but was severely disappointed, 4/10. It was not nasty, I ate it, but I can not see myself craving it and going back. For dessert we both had a vegan corn cake, which is what I had been drooling thinking about trying for weeks. It was good, but not as good as I expected… 5/10. Again, tasty, but not tasty enough to be a repeat customer. Overall good experience 6/10.

This is a nice restaurant. Good atmosphere. A little pricey. All the food I ordered was very good. I had the butternut squash bisque, vegan meatloaf and vegan corn cake. This maybe my new place when visiting Kalamazoo!
