Bidrage med feedbackThe rice ball was perfect for starters.Our main course had to much salted my pasta side dish was dryas the waitress for tomato sauce and was charge .75 for 2oz of sauce not nice.Service was good place was clean but will not be back.
Læs mereFirst course, ordered fried calamari. Took over 30 minutes to arrive at table. Calamari was tough, breading and marinara sauce were tasteless. Next salad. Took another 40 minutes to arrive at table. Stopped waitress to ask what the hold up was. We were first told the ticket was misplaced, then told it was delayed because we asked for time between orders so we wouldn't get the food all at once. The salad was fresh and very good. Next the pizzas that we came there for in the first place based on rave reviews. I ordered pepperoni, my wife a margarita. The pizzas were tiny, crusts tasteless and overcooked. Whoever gave this restaurant rave reviews are either friends or relatives. In addition the noise level was atrocious and unbearable. We couldn't wait to leave.
Læs mereFood was pretty good. I had a calzone and added extra items to it, which are charged at an additional cost, there were hardly any of the extras in there (like maybe not even a whole mushroom! . It had tons of ricotta though. Flavor was good. Service was very slow.
Læs mereExtremely authentic Italian food. Sam at the bar is a warm and caring professional who really knows her menu including an amazing well rounded wine list. The Tinazzi Valpollicello Ripasso 2019 is my favorite so far. The sauce is well done with San Marazzano tomatoes and the homemade taste with fresh ingredients. It's like eating in an Italian family's home with their Nona cooking! I have already taken 4 people back there to try it within a month. Try it yourself.
Læs mereSo this is a nice little Italian place on Johns Island. They make nice manageable 10 pizzas that are pretty good. There was a great wine special, 30% off all bottles. That saved me $16 alone! We started the night with a bottle of 2019 Diodoro Primitivo Di Manduria. Beautiful ruby color, good tannins, and fruity enough to be pleasant to drink. We shared an appetizer of meatballs, I must say that We were a bit disappointed in the meatballs. A good texture and a good size, but they seemed to be lacking a bit of seasoning. There was a bit of pickled onion atop them and it did help and the cheese/sauce ratio was decent. She then ordered a pizza that came with a quarter roasted red peppers, black olives, artichokes, and mushrooms. It was pretty good . In the battle of the entrees I most certainly won! I ordered the Linguini Puttanesca topped with a breaded cutlet of chicken. Pasta was a great al dente and the capers, anchovies, olives, garlic, and shallots were in prefect ratio. the cutlet gave a nice crunch against the soft pasta. A wonderful dish! Alas, we were a little to full for dessert...Never thought I 'd ever hear me say that growing up! Call it maturation I suppose. All and all, a good little place in for all of us on Johns Island to have a decent meal.
