1928 Cuban Bistro - Jacksonville

Stopped by because of the ratings on the Cuban food. I ordered a Cuban sandwich but want to be very clear that a traditional sandwich has roasted pork, smoked ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard on Cuban bread and is smeared with butter beforetoasting it to perfection. This version was not bad, it was tasty but not traditional as it was missing Cuban bread, mustard andthe butter smear. The ladies that were there were absolutely friendly and warm.

That media niche sandwich was delicious! The place is very clean and the employees are friendly!!! Will definitely visit again!!!!????

They have very great service, food, and is clean. I love the good sized menu. I have found the food to be cooked and made in higher quality more times than the Baymeadows location which is the original location. I'm not saying Baymeadows location is badat all. The food is great there but someone hired a really good cook over at Roosevelt. I know it sounds crazy but already did atest on both locations. Somebody there knows they are doing and it's closer to the owner's cook quality. It's been awhile sinceI had any of her food.

Great experience, not to busy alot of online orders.

The food is very tasty and hot. Cafe con Leche is amazing. Ham Crochetas are great and Cuban tostadas , great with coffee.
