El Torero Mexican Grill Jackson

Great food and nice staff. We have both eaten in and gotten to go. The most recent visit, the weather allowed us to enjoy outdoor seating not much of a view (Jackson Blvd,/Hwy 61), but it was pleasant out. Parking: Immediately adjacent to the restaurant. I love the food at this restaurant! The fajitas are especially delicious. We dined in for dinner and found the service to be good. The price per person is in the range of $10-20. The food was a 5 out of 5, the service a 4 out of 5, and the atmosphere a 4 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the fajitas and cheese dip. There is plenty of parking available in the free parking lot.

We were seated at a table for three, not a booth, at this restaurant. The waiter brought us ice-cold water in frosty mugs, which was a nice touch. The chips and salsa were served next, with the salsa being just okay and not very spicy. The chips were thicker than what I am used to. The food was good overall, but the queso was too watery for our liking. We prefer the food at La Luna or Don Carlos more. The service started off well, with our food arriving quickly, but the waiter did not check on us after serving us. He brought us the check before we were done eating. The restaurant was not busy, so there was no excuse for the lack of attentiveness. The atmosphere was lacking, with dirty seat cushions and a fly bothering us during our meal. The parking lot was empty when we arrived for lunch at 11:30, allowing us to park right at the front door. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible.

During a recent trip, my family decided to stop by this restaurant. The atmosphere was welcoming, with cozy booths. Our server initially spoke Spanish, but quickly switched to English when he realized our confusion, which led to some good-natured laughter. He took the time to chat with us, sharing information about himself and the restaurant. I always appreciate when restaurant staff show their personality, as it enhances the dining experience for me. Despite our need to hit the road again, the service was fast and efficient, allowing us to leave in a timely manner. The prices were reasonable as well. Overall, we had a great time at this restaurant.
