Madeline's - Ithaca

New menu is interesting and has some good options. Eating was usually good, but cooking was very precise, e.g., medium rarely came out as rare, dirty Martini with ice came first without olives, as no ice. Another great option for a big group.

The server seemed a bit distracted and slow during our dining experience. Despite only a few tables in the restaurant, we had to wait longer than expected between courses and for our check. However, he was knowledgeable about the menu when we had questions. Overall, the service was average for the price.

Even though I live 350 miles away, Madeline is one of my favorite restaurants. I was excited to bring some city friends to try it out and they really enjoyed it. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and special requests, even though it was still early in the evening. Although this was my first visit, I found the cocktails to be both fun and delicious.

A meal was good. A meal was a lamb dish and it was delivered vegetarian?? A meal was Steak... Steak was good, but vegetables were cold and black. No discount was offered. I'd never go back.

We have been to Madeline's before and had good food and service. The food was good but not great on our last visit. The apps were good but my Shepard's Pie was weak at best. It had very little meat and the mash potatoes were almost runny. It was topped with little carrots and that was it. Shepard's pie is a poor man's pub food and that's what I got but it cost $26.00!!!. The over all experience was good but we put Madeline's on the do not eat there again list.
