Bidrage med feedbackDon't go there if you fancy southern fried chicken....this was my 4th attempt over a couple of months at different times of the day at buying this item...its listed on the menu but they never have any!!! Won't be going there again!!
This chippy is local to me and I visit frequently-at least weekly. Good selection of fish and other chip shop staples including cooked to order burgers (grilled on a flat top) kids meals and pensioner deals. Open Sundays from 4-9 pm also.
Popped in here as we couldn't be bothered to cook as we were shattered. I believe the establishment is under new ownership and new owners were extremely friendly and made a fuss of my girls. Food was good curry sauce was not up to scratch but the chips were good.
When this place was owned by fry-days it was good but since it has been taken over by the golden fish it has seen better days and I would say that the quality of food has been nowhere near the standards that it needs to be. When it first opened and was called fry-days I was very impressed because it was very clean and vey modern and the food was ok however since new ownership the food has been utter trash and I wouldn 't even feed it to my dog! the food looks like it has been reheated every day for a week and the fish was so bland and chewy and the chips were brown. I have been really disappointed at how good this use to be and to see it come to this it just isn 't good anymore and I would prefer to go to the Codfather down the road any day.
Staff are friendly and restaurant is nice and clean. Good chips you can wait a little while and the price is quite high.
