Bidrage med feedbackThe restaurant only offers two vegan cupcake flavors, chocolate and vanilla, but unfortunately these flavors are only in the icing and not in the actual cupcakes themselves. The cupcakes are plain and bland, not meeting the expectations typically seen in grocery store cupcakes. What is most disappointing is that the dairy cupcakes are elaborate and fantastic with a variety of flavors, styles, and toppings. It almost feels like the vegan cupcakes are intentionally made to be subpar compared to the dairy options.
Molly's offers three frosting and two cupcake options for vegans. The frosting options include peanut butter, chocolate, and vanilla, while the cupcake options are chocolate and vanilla. Customers can choose their preferred base and add their favorite toppings. Although Molly's displays a variety of pretty cupcakes, none of them are vegan. The vegan options are located behind the counter and are frosted upon request. While the Des Moines location occasionally offers vegan specials or filled cupcakes, the Iowa City location only has the same three options. It is disappointing that Molly's does not offer more exciting vegan choices like their regular cupcakes. The cakes at Molly's are a bit dense compared to the lighter cakes at Scratch Cupcakery in Coralville. Overall, Scratch Cupcakery is recommended over Molly's, as they offer a variety of fun and changing flavors daily. However, Molly's does serve delicious soy lattes and has a charming ambiance that children enjoy. It is suggested that Molly's improve their table cleaning routine.
Molly's offers vegan cupcakes that are stored beneath the counter, so customers must request them. The cupcakes come in vanilla and chocolate flavors and can be topped with chocolate, vanilla, or peanut butter frosting. I was told that these cupcakes were egg-free. The restaurant itself has a charming atmosphere reminiscent of an old hardware store. The staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable.
The vegan cupcakes are amazing. I wouldn't know there was anything different about them. They also serve tea, coffee, and espresso drinks. I love to stop here between classes.
They have only two vegan aromes, chocolate and vanilla, but these aromes are in the ice cream, not even the actual cupcakes, which are completely simple and bland. I better expect food-laden cupcakes. the most gregigantic part is how elaborate and fantastic all milkcupcakes are, with tons of aromen and styles and toppings. it seems almost as if they made the vegans on purpose despite bad.
