Indy Ice House - Indianapolis

Calms fast, good eating, cold beer, staff very friendly. I love the popcorn.

Perhaps a better choice for lunch rather than dinner. Despite the restaurant being almost empty, they had run out of most of their appetizers and the atmosphere was lacking. The food wasn't cold but it also wasn't particularly warm, with no explanation why. The dishes we received were just mediocre. I suggest trying the Dovetail (thinly sliced tenderloin) as it seems to be their specialty (although we didn't try it ourselves).

Despite the lack of heat in the family room, the overall experience was fantastic. The food was delicious and every bite was worth it. The fried pickles were the best I've ever had.

I have always liked the Indy Ice House. My party and I were approached immediately, given our drinks promptly and they were kept refilled without asking. Their drink specials are good. We love the popcorn on the table upon being seated. I ordered a pick 2 lighter fare. The side salad was large! I was full after eating it. The chicken noodle soup tasted like my grandma's noodles. One of my friends ordered a dinner salad and she liked it, too. The waitress was friendly. We will be back!
