His Place Eatery - Indianapolis

Absolutely Delicious food!! My husband and I were visiting from Columbus, OH and decided to give this restaurant a try. When I say the food was amazing, it seriously was one of the best soul food places we’ve had. We loved that Chef James came around and greeted everyone; made us feel very welcomed. We will definitely be back again and highly recommend anyone in the area to eat here!

In town to support family members up from North Carolina for the AAU Basketball Tournament. So we went to a spot I 'd heard rumors of. Well, consider this review as confirmation. Chef Jones and Samara, as well as the Wait-list Hostess made me and my family feel like honored guests. The food was well on the 'Yes I want more, but I 'm too full side! ' Seriously. We did want dessert, just couldn 't fit it in. The helpings we 're more than generous. The food was good. And that Kudo was given by finicky teenagers, lol. Personally, I thought it was more than good. It was delicious...and very good. My understanding is that this place has been a fixture in Indianapolis for more than 13 or 14 years..here 's to many more to come. I definitely think anyone going in the direction of Indianapolis need to stop and check this place out.

My husband and I were visiting the area and googled soul food restaurants. His Place Eatery popped up and we decided to try it. People…. When I say this place did not disappoint. Their customer service was on point. JNai was our waitress and she was ah-mazing. They really know how to treat their customers. Tammy the manager also greeted us and shared pleasantries with us. The food was delish and the portions were good as well. I will definitely be back. Thanks JNai and Tammy, you all were great.

Definitely enjoyed my food and the service made you feel like you are in your grandma's or Auntie's kitchen. The servers were helpful and checking to make sure we had everything routinely. I got the rib tips. Which were sooo tender. Plenty of smoke flavor. I didn't even need sauce. But used some anyway. My greens were so fresh and delicious. Cooked and simmered with Turkey , the waitress said. Full of flavor. One time I got the Bourbon creamed corn! So creamy and delicious, had me craving for more. The 2nd time I went, i got the mac n cheese! Taste just like my momma and grandma made! Super creamy and cheesy! With so much flavor! This will be my destination everytime i drive this way!!!! I definitely will be returning

Wow! Half slab of nothing but meat and 2 sides for $17.99. Ribs so good, you don't need any sauce. The bourbon corn is also very good. It's a no for the green beans and fries. Cornbread is meh. But never served brick hard. Their mash potatoes are a smash. The banana pudding is really good and so is the Uptown drink. Other rib joints aren't coming even close. When I have a taste for ribs, this is the place to go. Customer service is always good too.
