Bidrage med feedbackWhat a disappointment at what had been one of our favorite restaurants in Indy. We used to eat there regularly before moving about an hour away. We were in town on 11/29/23 and decided to stop for supper about 6:30 pm. Our server took our order and repeated everything back to us gyosa and sushi pizza appetizers, general tso bento box and a crunchy bomb roll for entrees. There was a fair number of table customers, plus a constant flow of carry out pickups, with only one server working the tables. We had to wait an unusually long time for drinks and to have our order taken, because the single server was also constantly shuttling carry out food to the front desk. The server brought our gyosa, then a few minutes later brought crab Rangoon, which we said was not ours, and she took to another table. The soup and salad with the bento box was brought, which was fine. Then the bento box came, but no crunch bomb for my husband. Meanwhile, the carry out flow was constant. We waited another 20 minutes, with the server running constantly between tables and carry out and two people making sushi like crazy. Finally, my husband said let’s just go, who knows how many more carry out orders there are before we get our crunch bomb. Before we could ask for our check, the server brought it and moved on. The crunch bomb was not even on our tab, although the server had repeated it back to us when we ordered. While the food that we did get was excellent, we were very disappointed with the service. It was obvious that the carry out sushi was their main commitment, with little attention to table customers. We’ll miss our now occasional visits to Hana when we visit Indy, but excellent food is not worth being treated as second class customers.
One of my favorite spots for sushi. Great bento boxes
They for got my fried rice, chicken was cold after a four-minute ride back to the hotel sushi was great though but they didn't give any utensils or napkins thank God the hotel had some so for $65 not worth it I would go as far as Panda Express down the street maybe a better option ? just sayingFood: 1/5
Always great service great fresh food. Portions are nice size for price. I'm never disappointed with my hibachi chicken lunch!Food: 5/5
I recently dined at Hana and tried the sushi and yaki udon. While the sushi was decent, the yaki udon was outstanding and definitely worth trying. The dish was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend it.The seating area was relatively quiet, making for a pleasant dining experience. The service was also very fast, which was great as we didn't have to wait long for our food.Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Japanese cuisine.
