Bidrage med feedbackMY FAULT! Although this place has been open for several years, I have never tasted it. My fault! It overlooks the quay of the port of Oneglia and is therefore also convenient to reach. I really have no excuses! I 'll try to fix it tonight. There are four of us, we are welcomed very warmly by a young, kind and friendly staff. They make us sit at the last table in a long, narrow room. On the wall in front of the counter which also houses the barbecue grill, there is a giant blackboard with the day 's proposals and we decide to ask for advice. To drink a couple of bottles of water, a non-alcoholic cocktail for the minor at the table and just two glasses of Nebbiolo... which never goes wrong. We decide to taste and share some of their cuisine, to begin with. We choose a classic fried dumpling. Fried excellently and accompanied by a slice of excellent coppa. Enjoyable. And then a pizza cooked in a pan and finished on the grill. Very, very good. And finally the surprise of our tastings, the Farinaki, a reinterpretation of the classic farinata, but designed with octopus, spring onion and wasabi sauce. Very good. I would have eaten a thousand portions of it. The main dish of dinner is meat. We choose a large-sized rib, complete with bone. It is served to us in the middle of the table and then we will think about sharing it. Cooked perfectly on the grill, left rare inside and with the inevitable crust which makes it very tasty. Very good. We end our evening with four coffees and the bill. The total expense is equal to 158 euros with this detail: two bottles of water 4 euros; the cocktail 12 euros; two glasses of Nebbiolo 14 euros; fried gnocco 10 euros; pizza 10 euros; farinaki 14 euros; the steak 94 euros and the coffees kindly offered. A more than positive experience, expenditure appropriate to the quantity, but above all to the quality of the dishes tasted. Young staff, capable of creating a very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. At Surf we immediately felt at home, we dined at the counter and chatted with the staff throughout the evening. Seeing them at work is already an experience, but everything we tasted left us enraptured! Come here if you don't feel like the usual place for tourists, here tradition is expertly mixed with research, local products are enhanced both in the kitchen and at the bar counter. Each dish is studied down to the smallest detail and nothing is banal. A special mention for the desserts, incredible!! The staff is young, friendly and capable, you can see there is passion. We will definitely return but in the meantime I have already recommended it to everyone! Thank you
