I knew they had made food in the Middle East, but never tasted the Mediterranean grill of the coach. I had seen this place in construction last year and thought it was a new place, but in reality it has been my waitress for 16 wonderful years Debbie Gonzales told me-who also worked at Coach's for the same time - which does not happen too often. I can see why she's been here for so long since she goes out of her way to all she meets and this extra mile for every customer. It's nice if I run to a place like this that is a family business that blossoms in every sense of the word. From the first person I met early in the afternoon, the host named Bu or Bolent from Istanbul - who also has the bluest eyes a big smile and charisma. I feel that all employees are personal friends of the owner because they all really have an interest in providing the best quality food and service, much more than in many restaurants where I was. I've ever seen-He was very interested in making a feature story on the square and telling more people like I didn't really know how amazing the food is, the people and all the great things that Coach's Mediterran Bar Grill kept what they do all these years. What does work is a kind of family and not employees I feel here. I don't know how many of them are family members, but I wouldn't doubt that at least one of them is. There were so many things on the menu that I wanted to try, and I had to narrow it to just one thing - as I wanted to make Falafel home for the last two weeks and had not managed to get into the store, Tahini, parsley, lemon juice or the cucumber for the Tsatsiki Sauce-I had their falafel pita sandwich. I also ordered a 1⁄2 order of her award-winning hummus, which is made here every day with some of the lightest, most delicious, warm pita bread. Some of the remarkable ones I recommend are: appetizers: Mediterranean delight for two-dies from hummus, falafel, tabouleh, dolmades, feta cheese, Kalamata olives Pita bread. Hummus Theirs is rich with Tahini and extra virgin olive oil and a sperling of Cayenne that gives you a kick! If you like mild dishes, I'd tell them to leave it. I only asked Debbie and the magic ingredient she cares about her hummus is what I thought - good old Cayenne - which I never saw up or in any hummus. A little is fine, but if you like the things mildly seasoned, just tell them to do without it. Debbie talked about how great her French fries and although I wanted to order a salad instead of the fries - I got the fries and am glad that I did because-they even beat Johnny Rockets regarding how crisp they on the outside and delicate on the inside. Selection from the Grill-Coach 's Mixed Grill- Chicken Shish on a spit, gyro, juices, lamb chop and grilled tomatoes served with seasoned vegetables over rice pilaf. Filet Mignon Shish Kabob (Add Shrimps Kabob for just $5 more! They are marinated on a skewer with grilled tomatoes, served with seasoned vegetables over rice pilaf. The Combo Kabob has chicken and lamb as the main stars and they are both marinated separately and then served on a spit along with tomatoes with vegetables and rice pilaf. For $55 you and your loved ones can enjoy a mixed Mediterranean festive kabob. You will get a dish of the house delight, grilled chicken and lamb on a spit, gyro and juice served with tomatoes spiced vegetables over rice pilaf. You will also receive the house Dessert, which is baklava. NOTE: House Delight is-Lebni-what is like hummus, but is one of yogurt and mint and has the tartness that Tsatsiki Sauce has without cucumber and onion; Muhammara is made of walnuts and cumin with a kick of Cayenne pepper and I really loved the kick and the crispy texture of it. Mutebbal is made of eggplant olive oil, lemon juice yogurt and I loved how well it went with the hummus. Hummus, Tarama is made of carrot and yogurt and garlic Aubergine Dip is also known as the famous Babbaganoush. Coach 's is the only place I have seen that Kalamata has dug olives and what a wonderful taste they have too-not too briny or salty and very tasty. I have learned to place some of my dishes that I cook on my blog CookingUpAStorminCA.ning.com from Coach while visiting my friends in this extraordinary restaurant. He seriously thought of me investing in a few beautiful white or yellow plates now to best show my original dishes on Foodbuzz.com and CookEatShare.com and CookingUpAStorminCA.ning.com. As it turned out, I met the owner coach of this great place many years ago when I was the CEO founder of The Epilepsy Connection. He reminded me as a woman with a good heart and that makes me very happy to know because I am! I was asked to give priority to the things that are important in life that are values and good people around you. What a small world it is. That was before he redesigned the restaurant with the full bar. You have a wedding reception here at 7:00, so I want to upload a few pictures and then go out if they have to do something in the booth I'm now. The happy couple rents the entire restaurant with a full service bar. If you are soon married and would like to ask if you call your reception at Coach 's Bar Grill: 714-969-2233. Or, if you have a special anniversary and want this day to be special, call coach because in his words: I know what wedding costs and most prizes are overcrowded or what you get. However, Coach 's offers a very memorable experience of all at an amazingly low price for the quality of food and service. I know what weddings cost and I'm here to please my customers at reasonable prices. Instead of going to big chic hotels and paying thousands of dollars you can get much less than that at Coach's Bar Grill. We can provide up to 170 people with a total occupancy of 179. Also ask coach about which dishes would order well for this special person in your life. In his words: I can create the menu selection you like and work with you in every way. For a selection of fresh cold cuts, mild and aromatic cheeses and fresh salads visit us at Coach 'sDeli. 221 MAIN STREET D HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA 92647 714-969-2929 (hidden link) If you are interested in Coach 's say that Polly Motzko sent from CARestaurantShowCase.com to your restaurant (hidden link)
The food at this restaurant is exceptional! After a long walk around downtown, we decided to stop by and we are thrilled that we did. We ordered the Gyro sandwich with fries, which was freshly made and delicious.
This Main Street restaurant is a great find with an extensive menu. The spacious dining area has an elegant ambiance, although it is not overly formal. My...
This restaurant has welcoming staff, tasty food, and mouthwatering desserts. I highly recommend trying their künefe. Best wishes to the Koç Family!
Coaches is a warm and welcoming restaurant where servers treat you like family and are able to provide recommendations on meals. They are able to accommodate your preferences, such as ordering everything Mediterranean without even needing to look at the menu. The staff is friendly and attentive, avoiding any confusion with paper or plastic menus. The owner is also very child-friendly, happily welcoming young children like our 10-month-old at any time.
