I was in the area covering a driving route, originally from central Mass and thought I?d try out one of the most highly rated cafes in the area. And I gotta say, it DEFINITELY didn?t disappoint! First of all, the sign outside reading ?The Breadbasket at Nantasket? is a masterful rhyme. I didn?t even know one could rhyme something with Nantasket, but these GENIUSES had done it! I walked in and dug the vibe of the place immediately; it?s small, charming and comfortableand played great music. The food menu was pretty extensive and everything sounded so good, but I just came for a coffee and a pastry that I could enjoy on the cold, windy, yet, sunny beach right across the street it was the first day ofwinter after all ??????????????? The man behind the counter Matt, which says a lot that I remembered his name because I NEVER remember names was chatting up one of the regulars as I waited in line. When it came my time to orderMatt, greeted me and treated me as if I were an old friend; asking me what my name was, where I was from, what I did for work, joking around etc. He then gave his pastry recommendations as I seemed to be STUNNED by the selection ofdelectables, which wasn?t that large of a selection, but every single thing looked amazing ????. He insisted I go with the banana bread muffin, but the chocolate bread pudding was just CALLING my name so I had to go with it, and I mustsay, I was glad I did! ???? I also got a small hot French Vanilla coffee, which was average but very cheap. They also have just about every type of sweeting option you could think of at the milk station; from regular milk to almond milk andfrom sugar to stevia or Splenda or agave or whatever you little sweet or not so sweet tooth desired. I quite liked the brown sugar cubes that you could just drop in and stir, it make me feel like I took a time machine? who uses sugarcubes anymore? ???? Anyway, enough blabbering, here?s what you all came to see; the pictures! It was a f
Such a cozy place with a great atmosphere and even better food. Visited via MDW and stopped for breakfast. Try the Mediterranean toast and icy French vanilla coffee. Amazing! So good that I wanted to come back the next morning. The avocado toast this time ordered and it was also delicious! I also have to say they use coffee to make their icy dice for coffee. Perfection! I will visit Hull the next time
I was looking for a quick breakfast and ordered the sticky bungalow. The crispy sweet outside with the soft pillow center was amazing. I wanted to eat half. Couldn't resist the whole thing. Then I decided to make a sandwich for lunch. Zelda proposed Curry Thun. I never saw a sandwich like that. Curry Thun. Yeah, I was wrong. The curry made the normally salty fish taste a real delicious bite. Combine curry tuna with the crunch of nuts and chewing of rosins (blettuce tomatoes and a kind of white sauce) all a satisfying and delicious bite. I just ate. The bread is hearty enough to keep robust flavors. All in all, if you go here. Ask for Zelda (or Matt) they will help you find the right choices to make your next meal amazing.
