La Perla Tapatia - Hughson

I recently visited this restaurant and decided to try their churro. Unfortunately, my experience was not a pleasant one. The churro seemed to have been sitting out for days and had a dry, flaky inside. It was one of the worst churros I have ever had. I have had much better churros from Costco, and I don't even like their churros. I was so disappointed that I threw it away immediately. I was not happy with the quality of the churro and feel that the restaurant should be embarrassed to serve something of such poor taste. I chose not to return it as I did not want to deal with the hassle.

This restaurant has great potential, but it is let down by the lack of quality food and poor customer service from all staff members. I have been consistently disappointed when purchasing bread, as it is not always fresh in the mornings due to late deliveries. This should be addressed by management. On my last visit on Monday, the cucumbers I bought were mostly bad when I cut them up. Much of the food in the store seems old and spoiled. During a recent taco promotion where you could get 3 tacos for the price of 2, I was charged extra for cheese when I ordered 6 tacos. This felt like a total rip off.

This restaurant is absolutely terrible! First of all, the meat has a terrible odor, which is not acceptable. Additionally, the guy handling the food didn't even wash his hands between touching cheese and meat - what a disaster! Secondly, the customer service is terrible, with rude and unhelpful staff who make you feel inferior. Lastly, the burritos contain fatty and poorly cooked meat. I would not recommend this place at all. 0/10.

Great food but I feel really out of place when I visit. Every time I come in I'm excited because of the food but the ladies that work there won't look me in the eye or talk to me at all. They speak to others around me and when I give my order I feel like I'm talking to the soda machine. Very unwelcoming but if you get past that the burritos are amazing.

A good place for a quick lunch. It's hard to go wrong with their burritos. Try the chile relleno burrito. Too bomb, imo. They have produce, not the best but they have it. Full service butcher shop it great if your trying to buy a hispanic cut of meat. I cant vouch for their knowledge or quality on American style cuts. The beer selection is limited, even with hispanic brands. It's a small place. Their deli is a winner though.
