Capital - Hobart

First time visiting hereIncredible food and great atmosphere and friendly service.

On a visit to Hobart decided to have Italian with friendsThe Capital rated and on arrival the decor was greatService was wonderful.

On a recent visit to Hobart we had dinner at Capital and loved everything about it. It's in a buzzing area with lots of action - obviously the place to be.

Great eating of chef donny, and amazing service of each highly recommended.

Read the mixed reviews, but I thought we would give it a shot when the menu looked pretty well. Really enjoyed the antipasti, the quail was cooked to perfection and the pork and duckrilettes were very nice. The gnocchi was incredible and the balance of the three cheese was on the fact that my only critique would not be enough fungi and added to additional salt for my taste that is fine. The Greens also delicious! The dessert, though not traditionally great, ice cream and decadent, aromas all in balance would have fallen a bit more of this crumb to add more texture. There were many reviews to quote the bad service, for us it was good, no, without the two waiters were friendly enough. We do not expect a first-class notch service if we pay about $ 25-30 per main. Overall, very pleasant experience and we will return when we are in the city.
