Smokin' Z's Bbq. - Hitchcock

Stopped by on a Saturday on my way down to the beach. Super friendly folks. Despite me being early, they had coolers out with drinks and a nice covered patio. Had the pulled pork tacos on duck fat tortillas, pork ribs, “not your mom’s” chorizo sausage, and sides. All fantastic and I say that as someone who lives 1mi from Tr*th. Really loved the creativity they had brisket shawarma, BLT, and other stuff that I sadly didn’t have the stomach capacity for. But the table next to me had them and said they were great. For next time!!

I love the vibes good music, delicious smells. These folks are friendly, appreciative, and more importantly can throw down some serious bbq. Consistently the best I’ve ever had.

The food was unbelievably good. We got there 15 mins after opening and there was a line 6 people deep. It took about 45 mins to order and get out food. If they can figure out how to complete orders faster, this place would make a killing.

Best BBQ. Continually well done and everything on menu is superb. Love the BBQ Kolaches and Mac and Cheese the best.

BBQ worthy of being Top 10 in Texas Monthly, with personal, family hospitality. Their brisket is amazing; their ribs will keep you making a trip out just for the craving. Some really special stuff going on their menu.
