Taiko Udon Nakamachi Shop - Hiroshima

My friend and I are both vegetarian and we had the best vegan set. We ordered the vegan set that came with 4 supplements (tofu, soybeans, lotus root balls and tempura). It was absolutely delicious! In addition, we have the vegan Udon that was amazing. The best part was that two of the waiters spoke perfectly English! We also ordered a beer and it was poured into perfection, and was the smoothest beer I ever had in Japan. Recommend this place both for vegans and vegetarians (as well as carnivores). Definitely a must when visiting Hiroshima or authentic Japanese foods.

Great Udon Nudel-Shop in Hiroshima Downtown. Friendly staff, non-smoking easy to find. Easy iPad English order system, friendly staff. Vegan broth option for cold hot Udon dishes, free larger portions offered at noon. Good Musubi Rice balls delicious desserts (Warabi mochi) and great soft for vegetarians serve ice cream/cream with colorful snacks on it. Good quality reusable utensils travel set for sale as well as handmade noodles for souvenirs or home use. All dishes, cups, bowls reusable, so they wish to use reusable sticks instead of disposable sticks for additional #sustainability measures to reduce waste but otherwise perfect.

We had a great time here! All really good food (oroshi udon) and drinks (lemon sour and mikan beer) at a very reasonable price. Also for vegetarians and vegans (they have a veggie broth that you can exchange for any Udon). English menus available. Super sweet (in my opinion). So happy to have found it!

We had eaten here for dinner and it is definitely worth 5 stars! The employees and owners were real and professional. The restaurant is clean and has a great atmosphere. Now the purpose of this restaurant is what makes it special, the Udon, nothing was left. Simple, but full of taste! Staff and owners were friendly enough to give us a Japanese dessert on the house. I would like to thank you all for the nice dinner tonight and definitely come when we visit Hiroshima again.

Friendly staff and great service as always. Always love to come for tasty vegan udon. They also do a ramen day at the end of the month and I tried the vegan ramen for the first time and loooooved it
