Skull Creek Dockside - Hilton Head

Was disappointed by the experience. We have dined in the Skull-Kreek-Boot house and it was amazing. We drive from Savannah to Bach side and arrived at 3:30. The place wasn't busy at all. The waitress was extremely slow and we could say that other diners were not happy when we sat. She took our drinks order and then we didn't see them for 20 plus minutes. Really the service, very lack of service put the time for the entire meal. She was very nice, but was not attentive, disorganized and you had to find her to pay the bill. We only had a drink because they never died. The outdoor kitchen is really nice. The food was on average at best. Hilton Head has too many restaurants to calm down for this place. I was totally embarrassed that I drove an hour and 20 minutes for this on our monthly date night.

Great lunch with a bucket of steamed oysters, raw oysters, fried mahi-mahi grouper basket with fries hush puppies.

We lucked into a great table near the band and on the water in time to watch the sunset. The food and drinks were great. The hostess was fantastically helpful, our waitress on the other hand seemed a bit annoyed with her job. She seemed to be trying to rush us through our meal. We really enjoyed La Bodega- they were just perfect for the venue.

We have been having Brunch at The Dockside, although we took a break during the peak tourist season. Our church schedule fits well with the Brunch hours and we will be a regular guest in the fall again. Great service from the front desk to the wait staff.
