Parkway House - Hickory

We stopped here on our way to Lake Lure (near Asheville from Raleigh and it was a great pit stop. Tons of seating inside. Reasonable prices and the food is good! My kids love the spaghetti and chicken fingers/fries. I had a delicious burger and my husband got the country style steak over rice. The server was great. They had ice cream next door too (my kids desperately wanted but we didn’t get it! It was Hersheys.

I had company come in because we was going to the beach the next day. My son-in-law was wanting a good burger. Not fast food. I suggested this place because I was always wanting to check this place out. He got an awesome burger and I had steak which was also awesome. Prices weren't too bad either.Food: 5/5

Visiting family and they took me to Parkway House for breakfast....nice restaurant good clean facility.....the food was good and served in a timely manner....waitress was very friendly....we had a good mealFood: 5/5

This was first time I was ever disappointed. We normally go to breakfast which is really good. We decided to go to dinner.Don't know if I was misunderstood but i wanted fried chicken and mashed potatoes but they brought me some kind of thigh and chicken leg that looked boiled. It was awful. Chicken was fatty, and there was bits of crunchy bones in gravy. Very unhappy. As much as food costs go in hungry and come out hungry

Had some good Greek Options. Friend onion rings were to die for!!! Gyro was delicious can’t wait to go back and try some more. Menu will satisfy any craving. Cookies, ice cream and pie! What’s not to Love?Kid-friendliness: Lots of options for the kiddos
