Lakeside Bar Restaurant - Helena

Friendly staff; decent prices for beers. Needs a deep cleaning. A visit once a year is enough.

The service was good at Lakeside, the food was OK for bar food. I ordered the Fish Chips, they were nothing special. The batter on the fish was good but I enjoyed the fries better. The food did come out hot. The view at Lakeside is amazing, hence the name. I would suggest going for an ice cold beer, chilling outside and enjoying a beautiful Montana Summer sunset.

We stopped by Lakeside over Memorial Day weekend for some beers and nibbles. Took a little bit to get our beers after we sat but things turned better after more waitstaff covered the floor. Their wings are AMAZING. They definitely bread them and fry and the Buffalo sauce has some kick! Definitely grab the ranch dressing too. Ice cold beer and a good view fun local spot to hang out at on a nice day.

This place embodies lake life and if that's your vibe, you're going to be hard pressed to find a better venue in the area. Food is decent but the focus isnt on dining, as you'll see with the limited menu and non-bar seating options. Weekends can make it tough to get service when you want it. Mixed drinks are meh but you're not going here for the food or cocktails but the location and vibe. You're going for a cold drink and to party by the lake.

Good people, good music, and good times; this place has it all. We've done everything from have a casual date night and then hosting a 50th anniversary here to catching the best band in the area and celebrating our Dragonboat team.
