Bidrage med feedbackOutstanding experience. We held a business meeting there w 9 people. Clear efforts have been put into this culinarily experience. Starting with the hands-on staff that made us comfortable to the outstanding presentation and taste of the cuisine. I also met and had a warm conversation with the 86 year old owner... whose canvas' the dinning area assuring that your time there meets his 30+ years of offering an outstanding experience... and such a sweet and gentle man. The prices are worth the experience and any foodie will walk away feeling satisfied by both the food, atmosphere and price. We will definitely be going back !
Service was great, all servers and hosted were very friendly, I'm definitely coming back. Food is delicious and that bread they give at the beginning is fantastic.
My husband and I wanted to celebrate our anniversary at a fine dining restaurant. According to the reviews this place sounded like the perfect place. The parking was great, with lots of places to park. We came in and were seated right next to a wall and the waiter station. The place was lit for intimate settings which was romantic. We ordered the following dinner... Apps: Calamari and Louisiana roll Salad: Heirloom tomato and Gumbo Entree: Diver Scallops and 16oz Ribeye (medium) Drinks: Cabernet, Spring Branch Blossom Sandia The Apps were the best out of all the meal and it just went downhill from there. The Heirloom tomato salad was so sweet I could only finish 1/4 of it. It had too much balsamic vinegar and everything was sweet, there need to be something add to break that up. The Gumbo was an off menu and it only had chicken with huge pieces of peppers and the roux didn't have much depth. Also, was mostly rice. My scallops were off the menu and were peppered on the outside served with mushrooms and saffron couscous. The saffron was SO overpowering that all I had was one bite, the mushrooms were scorched so the were uneditable, and the pepper on the outside of the scallops were burnt as well. I had to scrape off the outside of them in order to eat them, which were cooked nicely. My husband ordered a medium ribeye served with a side of lobster grits and the peppercorn green sauce. The ribeye was cooked medium rare, which is disappointing since it is $56. But he said the grits and sauce was good. When it came time for dessert, we were so full and I was disappointed with just about everything, that we declined it. Well, apparently the waiter was not too happy and said I thought y'all were celebrating and walked away annoyed. I guess a $350 meal was not enough money for him. He also seemed annoyed that we didn't order a bottle of wine but instead did single serve. Since we were seated by the waiter station my husband was bummed minimum 7 times in the back. Overall for the price we expected top notch food, like Gordon Ramsay expectations. It was so disappointing and not worth the money. Also, I noticed that all the waiters were male and only the hostess were female. Not sure if it was just the night we went but found that interesting.
