Lapaloma - Heath

We haven't been in the main restaurant for several years, but it was really wonderful to see the new layout since covid. I needed more space because I need to use a wheelchair now. we loved the great food and the great service. we will return.

I went and ordered my food my girlfriends food and my sons food and they never even brought me my food so I went to the desk and they didn?t even order it the last three times I?ve been in this place it?s been a mess nothings ever right I love the food but when you got a bunch of kids that run it and the manager sits in the back and doesn?t say anything I will never step foot in that place again. All 3 times that something went wrong not one of the workers asked if i needed anything. One time we found what looked EXACTLY like a tooth in sour cream. The next i almost choked on a tooth pick and now this. Never again will i go in this place. Taking care of customers should be your priority!!!!

As you see in the pictures, it says small chicken and I received beef sopapilla with a toothpick inside. This was a take out order and as you see the toothpick is soaked with grease, wondering how many are actually in their beef! I called the Heath, OH location where I purchased this and was told unfortunately this happens a lot and that I 'll have a credit in my name for a free chicken sopapilla. No thank you, I 'd rather not end up hospitalized by toothpick. Sopapilla eaters beware!! Fix your staff and clean up the dirty place! Very, very poor management.

The food is always good here. It's not fancy, but it's worth the price everytime. We live in Florida now so we always make sure to hit up La Paloma when we visit the Newark area. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 is because on this visit the men's room had no toilet paper, no paper towels and no soap. That kind of sucked. But I'm guessing that isn't a normal thing, just bad luck on my visit.
