Bidrage med feedbackThis is one of my favorite places for Ramen in Sydney. I have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. The food is served quickly and the portions are generous for the price. My go-to dishes are the Tender Pork Ramen and Deep Fried Oysters, and they never disappoint. The quality of both the food and service is always top-notch. Elsa, the server, is always welcoming and lovely. I will definitely be returning again soon.
In my previous review of On Ramen from September 2015, I praised the restaurant highly. I had considered their ox tongue ramen to be one of the best bowls of ramen in Sydney and had brought many friends there specifically to try it. However, when I visited recently, I noticed that the restaurant was under new ownership. The place was nearly empty and had a different atmosphere. Despite this, I ordered my favorite dish. When it arrived, it looked like chop suey and lacked the precision and presentation that I had come to expect. The ox tongue was unevenly chopped and the ramen broth was lacking in flavor. The noodles were overcooked as well. The only saving grace were the chicken wings. I was extremely disappointed and do not plan to return. It is rare for me to give a one-star rating, as I have given out very few in my many reviews.
A friend had previously tried the restaurant and didn't enjoy it, but this time we ordered the seafood curry and wasabi octopus and we found it to be quite enjoyable! Your experience may vary depending on the dish you choose.
The price is reasonable for the ramen/bento set, and they have 10% off during my visit. The beef tongue is very tasty, but the ramen has small portions.
This shop is highly recommend by many Asian blogger. So i have a very high expection on it's ramen. I do expect too much. It was just on average. We had order Pork rib ramen, Miso ramen and Chicken Karage.the chicken was fried well. But i really hate them for squeezing mayonnaise on the chicken. Chicken gone soft very quickly. They should put it on side instead of on top.
