El Borrego - Hawthorne

Don't be fooled from the outside, this is a wonderful little place. Big portions for the price. The Tacos are the best I ever had. I recommend the Borrego (lamb), it is their specialty and it is great. Very friendly owner and server. The dining area and the bathrooms are kept clean.

It's over to find this jewel when visiting the city! We loved it absolutely. Our server was great! Very attentive. Birria was BOMB highly recommended! Will come back if ever in town

Very personal service, delicious food. We had Chilaquiles and huevos rancheros. Don't eat in less than 5 minutes! The atmosphere was good and clean.

Started with Café de olla, that was top notch. Quality customer service and clean restaurant and tables. Was craving Chilaquiles so went for the steak. The green salsa was great and everything tasted great. The steak was a bit overcooked, but still had good taste/season.

Came in and got quite a few tacos each one costing I think $1.25(? with some family members and they tasted great. Definitely planning to go back to try some of their other dishes because the food didn't disappoint us at all! Never really noticed this restaurant since it doesn't have any flashy signs and what not but so glad we took the time to order lol. They have 2 tables outside if you wish to each in the natural air but since it's on a main road, it can get pretty noisy while trying to chat at the table
