Settlers Inn - HAWLEY

My family and I came over for breakfast this morning and the building is just as cozy inside as it looks on the outside. The service was wonderful and the staff was very friendly. Really enjoyed the food. Just a wonderful experience all around. We didn't book a room but next time we visit, we plan too in the future.A note for anyone with dogs: They are a dog friendly establishment but they only have 2 rooms that are dog friendly. There is an exception if you may have a service or therapy dog. I'm not going to criticize the establishment on that. I just wanted to make this note if you're looking for a place to stay for a vacation with your dog.Would 100% reccomend anyone to check out this place

The food is mediocre at best. I was looking for a high end lunch for a friend for her birthday who was visiting from out of town. Serving an appetizer on an old repeatedly used piece of wood is very unappetizing and unsanitary. My lunch was also burnt, having to peel the coating off because that and the fries were in the deep fryer way too long. The atmosphere was nice but I was very dissapointed with the lunch. I probably would not try it again and was actually surprised at the lack of quality. The waitress was very nice though.

My pork disk was excellent. 3 people ordered the same steak dish but one came out with different side dishes. Other 2 got jealous. But all was very good. Will go again for sure.

It was a holiday weekend so it was unusually loud and busy in the dining room. Food was very good but could have been hotter. Service a little slow...but again ..a holiday weekend.

Superior ambience, service fantastic, food delicious but small portioned, much more crowded later in evening. Would go again in a heartbeat
