Tasty Tucker - Havering

I had occasion to visit Hornchurch in Essex a couple of days ago and, as time was tight, decided to grab a bite to eat in this little cafe we had spotted. Firstly I should say that I was very pleasantly surprised when entering the establishment as we were greeted straight away by a lovely and very personable young lady who made us feel very welcome. I would normally have been quite satisfied with just this as to be welcomed in this way is becoming increasingly rare nowadays, but the best was yet to come !!! We decided to have some traditional English 'breakfast-type ' food and were pleased to see that the individual components could be selected from a long list of possibles. I decided upon most of the usual components including eggs, bacon sausages, etc., but asked for a burger as well. I was really glad I did ..... The burger had quite obviously been home-made on the premises and was absolutely delicious. It was all meat and the flavour and texture was worthy of any top-level central London eatery. The surprises didn 't end there though, as we ordered milk-shakes and were delighted when they actually made these by hand using real fruit. The taste was sublime and I could not leave before I had consumed another one !! They were very busy while we were there preparing take away and delivery food as well and, judging by the quality of what we were provided, I can fully understand why. It was quite apparent that these people, both proprietor and staff alike, took immense pride in the food they were supplying. I would have absolutely no hesitation in visiting the ' 'Tasty Tucker ' ' again and would happily make a lengthy detour to do so. Unfortunately, establishments of this quality are becoming rare so please, if you are local. visit this ' 'little gem ' ' tucked away in Hornchurch, You won 't regret it !!! Unfortunately i would have highly recommended this cafe but sadly there last couple of orders they have either forgotten drinks or missed items of food. Today when i have tried to make an order for delivery they have informed us they are no longer delivering to our company. We order from Sams Cafe a minimum of 3 times a week and now the chef has decided they no longer deliver to us or want are business. They called us rude but quite frankly they are just defensive regarding their own mistakes. The lady on the phone just said to me on the phone that we always change the menu to which i replied every set breakfast you are allowed to change 1 item as disclosed on the menu. The day before i made an order to swap an item they ignored this request didn't swap the item and the set 4 and it come delivered 1 item short. I asked on my set 1 for an extra runny egg that i was paying for and asked to change beans to tin tomatoes. Its disappointing to know that when taking an order they ignored these requests and sent out the delivery wrong when i emailed them to say it didn't come correctly again they responded defensive and said they would have to either offer a discount on the next order or offer a free set as they are aware previously they have forgotten items or forgot to bring drinks. Some advice, don't ask to swap an item as even though it states on the menu you can they don't do it for you. Don't tell them when they have done something wrong they don't like it they will get defensive call you rude and hang up on you. Good luck :

This is the best and also cleanest cafe that I have ever eat in. The food is homemade, fresh and of high quality ingredients. The staff are so helpful and will cook whatever combination you want. The portions are delicious and enormous! I really cannot understand how they provide such wonderful food for these prices! Six of us ate in there early Saturday afternoon, the staff could not do enough for us and we were served so quickly. Restaurant chains could learn a lot from this outstanding cafe!

All I can say is.........bacon sandwiches to die for! Lovely fresh bread and crispy bacon. Great place for a quick bite to eat.
