Bidrage med feedbackHave eaten here quite a few times in the last 12 months and it has always been excellent. It's like a friendly local pub but it must have amazing chefs as the food is awesome. The beers and wine and cider are great, and the staff are so friendly. Love it here :
This pub/restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere and serves delicious pies that are homemade and served with fresh vegetables. There is a wide selection to choose from and everything is just perfect for a satisfying meal.
I had the falafels there were no chick peas in sight! Filled with mash potato, tasteless, apparently the chef only likes cooking meat! So if you are a vegetarian, I would avoid, it’s a shame, as the pub has great atmosphere
We had a great time at this pub. The service from the staff behind the bar was very friendly, and they had a great selection of well-kept ales and a tempting pie menu. The pub also had some unique features that you don't see every day. The Albion is located on the site of Whitby House, which was originally built in 1689 and licensed in 1730. It was demolished and rebuilt in 1831, reopening in 1832 as the Albion Hotel, a coaching inn on the fashionable Marine Parade. The pub has a connection to Scotland through its tie to Younger's Brewery of Edinburgh, which is reflected in the bagpipes behind the bar and the tartan designs in the dining room, known as the Scottish Bar. During our visit, we had to enter through the Marine bar from Marine Parade, which was practical as it led us straight to the ale pumps. We tried two ales from Three Acre Brewery, and they were both excellent. The pub also offers a variety of real ciders. The Marine bar may seem plain at first, but it has some charming period features. The dining room initially appears dark with its wood paneling and furniture, but it is a comfortable room to enjoy a beer and one of their delicious pies. There is also a stage area for live music on weekends. The pub's location on Marine Parade allows for outdoor seating on bench seats, which is a lovely spot when the sun is shining.
Stick to the pies!......... I had the falafels dish, it looked like my falafels had fallen on the floor, overly garlic-flavored hummus, , dry and hard pitta breads, And £18 for that!!!!!!!!!!! I feel It was a rip-off for that particular dish.
