Bidrage med feedbackWe were looking for an adequate restaurant near the Vienna airport prior to a long haul trip to Sydney. What we found was way more than adequate. Beautiful little restaurant situated right on the Danube, serving traditional European faire but extremely well done. The meal...opened with a plate of mini breads served with 3 spreads, followed by an amuse bouche of a beetroot cream, this was served before you order arrived. I had a good carpaccio and a great rare duck breast. The sommelier was extremely knowledgable and we tasted some of the local wines. Service and atmosphere was excellent...a pity we were flying out otherwise we would have stayed for desert and a few more drinks.
Smart restaurant with elevated views of the Danube. There is a 3.50 cover charge that covers an attractive box containing 3 bread types, homemade Austrian sausage, butter and a tomato mousse. see pic). Menu choices of classical Austrian dishes, specialty dishes. Currently October) there...is a game menu it has a fixed price but one can order individually of it. The open wine is of the local top wine producers. We tried a Netzle red.

Very good service, excellent good and nice environment in the national park of danube river. Highly recommended
The restaurant is located at the edge of a rim with a great view down to the riverside woodland of the Danube river. Location is not easy to find without navigation system. The weather was great and we enjoyed the outdoor seating. The menu is...short but has some extraordinary but not too fancy dishes. There is also a special menu of the season. I enjoyed a cold soup from tomatoes and cucumber and paprika stuffed with quinoa. The desert included all the classics and we all enjoyed the selection of everything. Needless to mention that the Haslauerhof has two toques from Gault Millau.
