Shoney's - Hartsville

My wife and I take a day trip every Friday for either breakfast or lunch. We drove 2 hours and 35 minutes for their breakfast and were not disappointed. The people, customers and employees alike were the most friendly people we have encountered anywhere ever. What a small town America experience.

Good food for the price. If you can catch them open. They close early or don't even open to many days

This business will fail as you never know when they’re open. Since Covid they supposedly close at 7 pm but we have gone numerous times and they post on door were closing at 5:30 and this was today and many other times we have been they closed at random times or never even opened. You look on line and it says open as it does at this moment stating closing 7 PM but when we got there a note on door says closing 5:30. We arrived at 5:15pm. Employee standing in front of door told my husband we could get a to go box. We were planning on having the buffet and salad bar. Needless to say we left. I guess my point here is a business such as Shoneys should have regular hours and open daily. Dinner is beginning at 5:30 and not ending at that time. Even 7 pm is too early to close for this type restaurant.

Haven't seen a Shoney's in years and stumbled upon this gem traveling to SC. Stopped for breakfast, and everything was delicious. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere proved that ppl were enjoying their food and service as well. Wish they'd come back to Charlotte! Love a good breakfast buffet from time to time!

Absolutely love the old school vibes. I haven't been to a shoneys since I was a kid and it's just the same as I remembered.
