Freight House - Hartselle

Decorated very nice in old railroad and freight warehouse. Also had a nice fire going in the fireplace with Christmas trees for photo op.There were 3 freight trains that went by while we were there.

Great local restaurant with really great food and atmosphere! I got the fried catfish fingers which were great, wife got the grilled chicken which was really good. I don’t know of a single thing we had that wasn’t fantastic. As a added bonus kids love it when the trains go by. I took pictures of the latest menu.

Great little hometown type restaurant with a great train theme throughout in a remodeled train station. Great food, great atmosphere and a wonderful place to try home Alabama dishes. Recommended!!

Im so happy to find such a wonderful restaurant close to the town I live in. The ribeye steak was delicious, cooked perfectly and the strawberry cake was to die for.I give the Freight House a 10 out of 10!

I'm reviewing from a separate account than I'm used to. I'm disappointed that Google will not let you transfer your reviews to a new account. I've reviewed 119 locations in the previous account. That being said:Wife had the Chicken Salad Croissant. It was so good, she got a to-go box for the second half and had it for dinner. Absolutely delicious.I had the Catfish Filet with turnip greens and pinto beans. The filet was meaty and extraordinary. The greens needed pepper sauce, and the pintos were good. All in all, I don't think I'd order anything else but the catfish. Just wish I had ordered two pieces instead of one. Yes. It was that good.Erica D., our server was excellent!Also loved walking around the restaurant and seeing the old scales and other train station memorabilia.Go. Go!
